Cnhybond945 primer developed from our company is a kind of halogen-free clear light brown liquid with low odor, and it is a an adhesion promoter for use in conjunction with Architectural finishes. With VHB Tapes used exclusively for structural glazing in Brazil and other parts of South America, our primer 945 also is applied in structural glass. It can be used to improve adhesion of Structural Glazing Tape to metal frames especially when the frame has been overcoated with paint or polyvinylidene fluoride PVDF based paints.It can achieve high bond strength of the tape to a metal frame or reflective coated glass.

It can replace 3M 94, 3M 4299, 3M AP111,3M AP115 Tape primer/adhesion promoter.

Application Techniques

Surface preparation:

The bonding surface must be relatively clean and dry.Contaminated surfaces should be cleaned with a 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol and water mixture,A clean lint-free cloth should be used.

Application: Shake CNHYBOND 945 primer well before using:

1. Apply a thin uniform coating to the bonding surface using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface, allow cnhybond 945 primer to dry thoroughly before applying tape. This is usually accomplished in 5 minutes at room temperature, Be sure the primed surface remains free from contaminants prior to applying the tape. Porous surfaces may require 2 application of CNHYBOND 944 primer for uniform coverage and good adhesion..

2. Allow first application of primer to dry before applying the second coat, CNHYBOND primer 945 may be applied with brush or swab, It can also be applied with a pressurized flow gun, knurled roller or other similar type of application equipment

Clean up:

Cnhybond 945 primer can be removed with isopropyl alcohol,Vigorous scrubbing may be required

Shelf life

1. 12 months from date of manufacture when stored in the original container at 15-27℃

2. Keep cnhybond tape primer 945 in the original container

3. Keep original container tightly sealed to avoid solvent evaporation
